Hello all!

...to anyone who’s reading that is. Well, to anyone who is reading, welcome to my blog, where I will talk about anything in life, universe, and… everything. Anything that I happen to have in mind or am interested in, I will write down in this blog. So why is it called “My Pointless Ramblings”? Well, when I was a wee little kindergartener, I was very quiet. I did not really talk to others and would usually be lost in my own thoughts. Then during the elementary school years, I discovered a series of educational comic books that my mother had bought for my older brother David. I loved reading picture books, and naturally I started picking them up. I never thought that learning would be so much fun until I read these comic books, which would cover anything including astronomy, zoology, botany, history, anatomy, and physics (trust me, it was actually a lot more fun than it sounds). I was so excited by what I was learning that I told everyone, be it my parents, my schoolmates, or just anyone who happened to be by my side. Then, when the internet took off not long after, I would always go online to learn more about the topic that I was interested in at the moment and then tell others about it.

Well, I kept up this habit for a long time all the way until I was in 7^th or 8^th grade when I slowly started to realize that my peers were not interested in listening to things that had nothing to do with their personal lives or the things that caught their interest, which I had once dismissed as frivolous teen stuff. Even then, I kept up the talks with my family, but it was becoming clear that the more I was talking, the less I was paying attention to my increasing responsibilities as a young adult. Eventually, in order to get me to stop altogether, Mom and David simply dismissed my talks as “pointless ramblings”. So there you go, that’s where the name of my blog comes from!

But I still love learning about things through the internet or books, and whenever I have a chance to talk about them, I gladly take it. So, this blog is my way of continuing my talks, to share what I have learned and what I am passionate about, but now with more of my personal opinion interjected to them. Otherwise, why would it be a blog? But since the things I talk about really has little to nothing to do with my personal life or studies, I decide that this is place where I take a break from reality every now and then to write down about my interests for anyone out there who is reading.
